Jazz Night time‘s radio episode pays tribute to one of many nice organ virtuosos who left us in 2022: Joey DeFrancesco. Identified for his blurring pace and stomping swing, DeFrancesco was a perennial favourite amongst jazz followers world wide and our host, Christian McBride, grew up with the late organist in Philadelphia. For this in memoriam episode, McBride pays tribute to his childhood pal and revisits a 2018 dialog they’d within the Metropolis of Brotherly Love.
